Social learning theory proposes that individuals learn how to behave by observing the other’s behavior. Therefore, in a school with a positive climate, adolescents may acquire appropriate norms and attitudes about Internet use and restrain from Problematic Internet use. Mounting empirical research supports the notion that a positive perceived school climate is associated with decreased risk of problematic internet use.
