Listen actively and validate their feelings and experiences. Show genuine care and concern while maintaining a non-judgmental stance. Building trust and a therapeutic alliance is crucial for effective crisis intervention.
3. Ensure safety and stabilization: Prioritize the individual's safety and work towards stabilizing the crisis. Take immediate action to address any immediate threats or risks. This may involve contacting emergency services, involving other professionals, or implementing safety plans. Support the person in utilizing coping strategies and accessing available resources to manage the crisis.

Explore healthy coping mechanisms, such as deep breathing, grounding exercises, or engaging in activities that promote relaxation.
