The Committee formed in 1993 and has 37 members from treatment and rehabilitation, drug education, and other agencies that handle drug problems as well as government representatives. It serves as a useful forum for the exchange of views between the Government and non-governmental organizations on a range of issues concerning drug-demand reduction and other drug-related matters.
