Organizing is the process of bringing unconnected people together to work for a common purpose (The Citizen’s Handbook, 2006) Community organizing is one of the few strategies working to build grassroots leadership, community initiative and constituent influence in neighbourhoods and communities that are often forgotten or ignored by those in power (Community Organizing Toolbox).
