It is based in Uganda, focusing on disabled persons in Africa and their families. Its goals are as follows:
To benchmark best practices and research regarding disability;
To make information about disability issues accessible worldwide through conferences, writer’s workshops, the formation of CBR national organizations, maintaining a website and publishing;
To promote the equalization of opportunities, social integration and rehabilitation of persons with disabilities in Africa.
