If I have two intervention approaches, treatment A and treatment B, for ex-offenders in the community, I am considering investigating their relative effectiveness compared to doing nothing. Should I establish a control group to make a comparison between the two interventions?

It is conceivable that individuals who have been incarcerated and now reside in the community may encounter social exclusion. I am determined to take action to address this issue. However, merely asking them, “Do you feel socially excluded?” does not provide a comprehensive understanding of their experience. Can you assist me in finding a solution?
