In my opinion, it relates to the parents’ function within the family. Parents are responsible for teaching their children to distinguish between right and wrong. Through parental teaching and modeling, children learn to respect the rights of others and to control their impulses. Morality should be congruent with that of the larger culture with respect for distinct cultural patterns.
