Hi there. Is it true that there are multiple program evaluation results supporting that early prevention programs that target at-risk youth groups can produce significantly higher returns on investment than interventions focused on their problem behavior?

Yes. For example, Manning, Smith, and Homel (2013) use an approach that allows one to value improvements in individual well-being from developmental crime prevention projects by collecting preference rankings. The method provides an expert group, who will be asked to make these pairwise comparisons, with results from a meta-analytic review of impacts derived from the empirical literature. Using this technique they found that a structured preschool program that incorporates family intervention and support was the most preferred option to reduce youth crime.

Hi there. I found it is really impressive that telehealth is so powerful, far beyond my imagination! It turns out telehealth covers so many themes, including the telehealth modalities (e.g., video, asynchronous), clinical topics (e.g., chronic disease management), telehealth function (e.g., remote patient monitoring, consultations). Could you help me with its effectiveness? It seems impossible for me to summarize.

Hi there. While it sounds like data visualizations are so valuable, I wonder if there is any weakness about it that social workers should keep in mind?

Hi, I realized that it seems the concept “outcome” is different from the term “output”. Taking the grandparent training project as an example, what is the “outcome’ referable?
