Miss HUANG serves as the Community Organizer at the Society for Community Organization (SoCO), bringing 15 years of front-line and managerial experience to her role. Currently overseeing three child and family centers in Sham Shui Po, she manages a membership exceeding 20,000 individuals from approximately 6,000 families. Wendy possesses extensive experience in writing private fund proposals, government funding applications, and preparing evaluation reports. She has engaged with various funds including the Chow Tai Fook Charity Fund, KPMG Fund, Shih Wing Ching Foundation, Community Chest, Jockey Club Fund, Social Welfare Department’s Partnership Fund for the Disadvantaged, and the Fund from Advisory Committee on Mental Health.
Additionally, Wendy excels in community organizing and policy advocacy, focusing on issues concerning new immigrants, grassroots communities, women’s health, SEN children & caregiver policies, CSSA welfare systems, and the needs of two-way permit holders. She advocates for government improvements in related policies, has conducted numerous action research projects, and has collaborated with institutions such as The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University, and Saint Francis University, etc.
