The Committee was established in 1993 and currently consists of 37 members from government representatives, drug education, treatment and rehabilitation centers, and other organizations that deal with drug issues. It provides a useful forum for the discussion of various topics relating to drug demand reduction and other drug-related issues between the government and non-governmental organizations.
