Single-subject designs involving a longitudinal perspective can be achieved by repeated observations or measurements of the variables for the following reasons:

Within-subject analysis: Single-subject designs focus on analyzing individual participants' data over time. By repeatedly measuring the variables of interest, researchers can assess changes within each participant, providing a detailed understanding of individual responses and patterns.

Temporal analysis: Longitudinal designs allow for the examination of temporal relationships between variables. Repeated observations over time enable the identification of temporal patterns, trends, and associations, providing insights into the dynamic nature of the variables being studied.

Treatment effects: Repeated measurements facilitate the evaluation of treatment effects within each participant. By comparing pre- and post-intervention measurements, researchers can determine if changes in the variables of interest are attributable to the intervention or other factors.

Individual variability: Single-subject designs acknowledge individual differences and variability. Repeated observations capture fluctuations and individual trajectories, allowing researchers to observe whether changes occur consistently or vary across participants.

Statistical analysis: Longitudinal data can be analyzed using statistical methods specifically designed for within-subject designs, such as visual analysis, trend analysis, or statistical techniques like the split-middle technique or time-series analysis. These methods enable the identification of meaningful patterns and statistically significant changes at the individual level.

Hi, I realized that it seems the concept “outcome” is different from the term “output”. Taking the grandparent training project as an example, what is the “outcome’ referable?
