The meaning of social enterprise includes three dimensions. First is the social dimension, including an explicit aim to benefit the community and limited profit redistribution. Second is the economic dimension, including a continuous activity producing goods and/or selling services and a minimum amount of paid work. The third one is the governance dimension, which includes ensuring that decision-making power is not based on capital ownership and a high degree of autonomy.
