Absolutely! The Pubertal Development Scale includes questions about various changes in the body, such as height, body hair, and skin for both boys and girls. It also covers specific changes like voice and facial hair for boys, and breast development and menstruation for girls. The responses are rated on a scale from 1 to 4, indicating the extent of development, with menstruation having a separate scoring system of 1 for not started and 4 for started. By averaging the values, a score is obtained that reflects the stage of puberty a person is in (Carskadon & Acebo, 1993; Cardoos et al., 2017 also provide similar information). In this particular study, the internal consistency of the scale was satisfactory, with a Cronbach's α coefficient of .72 for boys and α = .70 for girls.
