Hi, friend! Following my previous post, the term “recidivism” and “Incarceration” and some other terms, like arrests, are quite similar to me, yet it seems they are not the same. Will you kindly help me identify the definitions?

Sure. Incarceration usually refers to the incarceration in the prison system (does not include Confinement in Response to Violation for probationers). Conviction often emphasizes conviction resulting from fingerprinted arrest and arrest focuses on the fingerprinted arrest. Simply speaking, arrests take into account not only the frequency of repeat offending but also its seriousness and the nature of the victimization (for example, crimes against the person, crimes involving theft or property damage, or crimes involving illegal drugs). The volume of repeat offending is handled by recording the number of arrests for crimes of various types.

Hi, I realized that it seems the concept “outcome” is different from the term “output”. Taking the grandparent training project as an example, what is the “outcome’ referable?
