There is a natural consistency between the perspective of advantage and the values and core ideas of social work. It is only at the operational level of problem solving in social work that the pathological paradigm, or problem paradigm, has been dominant. Because at the practical level, social work emphasizes that when facing people's problems and defects, we should start from the problems, and then find ways to finally solve these problems.
