What are the advantages of using administrative data?

Firstly, it is cheaper. Data are already collected for other purposes so they do not need expensive methods such as surveys, interviews or focus groups for data collection. Secondly, it is more efficient. Data are completed for all or most clients or participants and therefore the analysis is more comprehensive.
