When considering strategies for self-improvement and change for ex-offenders, the following five points can be helpful:

Education and skill development: Encourage ex-offenders to pursue education and skill development opportunities to enhance their employability. This can involve enrolling in vocational training programs, pursuing academic education, or obtaining certifications in specific fields. Equipping ex-offenders with relevant skills and knowledge increases their chances of securing stable employment and promotes self-improvement.

Cognitive-behavioral interventions: Implement cognitive-behavioral interventions to address criminogenic thinking patterns and promote positive behavior change. These interventions focus on identifying and challenging distorted beliefs, developing problem-solving skills, and fostering prosocial attitudes. Cognitive-behavioral programs can help ex-offenders develop healthier coping mechanisms and make better choices in their daily lives.

Mentoring and support networks: Establish mentoring programs that pair ex-offenders with supportive mentors who can provide guidance, encouragement, and accountability. Mentors can offer practical advice, share their own experiences of successful reintegration, and assist ex-offenders in setting and achieving personal goals. Support networks, such as peer support groups, can also provide a sense of belonging and facilitate positive change.

Substance abuse treatment: Address substance abuse issues through comprehensive treatment programs. Many ex-offenders struggle with substance abuse, which can hinder their ability to reintegrate successfully. Providing access to substance abuse treatment, counseling, and support services can help ex-offenders overcome addiction, reduce the risk of relapse, and improve overall well-being.

Prosocial activities and community engagement: Encourage ex-offenders to engage in prosocial activities and contribute positively to their communities. This can involve volunteering, participating in community service projects, or joining organizations that promote social responsibility. These activities help ex-offenders develop a sense of purpose, build positive relationships, and integrate into society in a meaningful way.

Hi, I realized that it seems the concept “outcome” is different from the term “output”. Taking the grandparent training project as an example, what is the “outcome’ referable?
