The YOAP members, who are representatives from both departments, will review all the SWD and CSD suitability reports and pertinent materials on the cases after receiving referrals from judges or magistrates. They will then interview each offender, look over all available treatment options for the offender in question, and recommend the best rehabilitation program to judges for use as a guide when determining sentencing.
