Dr. CUI is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a registered social worker in both Hong Kong and Australia. She has extensive experience in research, practice, and policy advocacy. Angela’s research focuses on disability service design, residential care, empowerment-oriented mental health practice, and social work education. She has published in leading international journals, including Social Work in Health Care, Social Policy and Administration, and Disability & Society. Beyond academia, Angela works closely with NGOs and governmental bodies to advance social inclusion, disability rights, and mental health advocacy. She has conducted various evaluation research projects for the local social service sector, assessing program effectiveness and service impact. She also serves as a member of multiple government and professional committees and her research and advocacy have been featured in major media outlets such as South China Morning Post, The Standard, Ming Pao, and Now TV.
