Hi I think the one discussed by Kotler counts as an important reference:

1. input publics (e.g. donors),
2. internal publics (e.g. volunteers),
3. intermediary publics (e.g. consultants)
4. consuming publics (e.g. clients)

Kotler, P. (1982). Marketing for Non-profit Organizations. Prentice-Hall.
