Adolescents with face special challenges may include adolescents who (1) have chronic physical or mental health conditions; (2) live in foster or group homes; (3) are homeless or who have run away from home; (4) are incarcerated or involved in the juvenile justice system; and (5) are pregnant and parenting. Other groups, such as adolescents who are undocumented, migrant, or new immigrants and/or whose English skills are limited, face special challenges in accessing health services.
