I don’t understand what you mean by “measure the distribution.” Do you want to measure how diverse/concentrated the answers are? If so, you can calculate the index of qualitative variation, which calculates how close to the maximum level of variation of a distribution is. The formula for the IQV is: ???=??−1∗(1−∑??2??−1) Where K is the number of categories, k is the specific categories, and p is the proportion in the category of k.
