What about the Wechsler Abbreviated Scale of Intelligence (WASI)? Four-subtest and 2-subtest forms are available, consuming 30 and 15 minutes, respectively. Both provide a brief and reliable estimate of general cognitive ability (full scale IQ). In addition, with the 4-subtest version (Vocabulary, Similarities, Block Design and Matrix Reasoning) you can estimate verbal and non-verbal abilities. But if time constraints are relevant, I would favour the use of the 2-subtest (Vocabulary and Matrix Reasoning).

I’m curious as to why policy analysis for social protection uses a selective sample rather than the census.
