Hello. Following my previous question, I am trying to search for a Chinese version of the scale of self-management, which has been validated in Hong Kong patients with chronic illnesses. Could you please kindly give me a hand? Is there anyone available for me, to your knowledge?

You could try the Chronic Illness Self-Management (CISM) Scale, a holistic instrument to measure CISM among the young patient population in Hong Kong. It was developed by Prof. Ngai and his team from CUHK. The 23-item CISM scale with its underpinning four factors, namely self-stigma, coping with stigma, health maintenance efficacy, and treatment adherence, showed satisfactory fit indices, factor loadings, and reliability in the total sample and indicated subgroup consistency across the gender, age, illness severity, and illness category subsamples. All the results demonstrate that the scale possesses adequate psychometric properties to assess the self-management of patients with chronic illnesses in the Chinese context of Hong Kong society. You could assess the scale via this link: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0190740920301109
