Yes, the Department would accept the application for Old Age Allowance/Old Age Living Allowance/Guangdong Scheme/Fujian Scheme within one month prior to the applicant's reaching the respective qualifying age (i.e. the 65th or 70th birthday) for the allowance.

Could you perhaps assist me in getting some information about the community service orders (CSO) program verified? According to what I’ve heard, a court may issue a CSO order requiring a person who has reached the age of 14 or older and has been found guilty of a crime carrying a sentence of imprisonment to perform unpaid work for a number of hours up to 240 hours per month while being supervised by a probation officer. Can I refer to those as CSO scheme activities?
