Impact: The effects/impacts of independent variables on dependent variables.

to be exact, outcome refers to the change that has occurred as a result of a program. Impacts are the broader changes that occur within the community, organisation, society, or environment as a result of program outcomes.

An outcome is a short-term one for the participant. By contrast, the impact can be more general, including long-term, unplanned one, not just on the participant, but on the non-participant as well.
