A nominal variable is a categorical variable used to name, label or categorize attributes being measured. It can have two or more categories, but there is no ordering or numerical meaning within these categories. It is qualitative in nature.

Could you perhaps assist me in getting some information about the community service orders (CSO) program verified? According to what I’ve heard, a court may issue a CSO order requiring a person who has reached the age of 14 or older and has been found guilty of a crime carrying a sentence of imprisonment to perform unpaid work for a number of hours up to 240 hours per month while being supervised by a probation officer. Can I refer to those as CSO scheme activities?
