In the context of program evaluation and research, evaluators have the following responsibilities:

Defining evaluation objectives: Evaluators are responsible for clearly articulating the objectives and scope of the evaluation. They work with stakeholders to identify key evaluation questions, set measurable goals, and establish evaluation criteria.

Designing the evaluation: Evaluators develop the overall evaluation design, including selecting appropriate methods, data collection tools, and analysis techniques. They ensure the design aligns with evaluation objectives, ethical standards, and best practices.

Collecting and analyzing data.: Evaluators are responsible for gathering relevant data through various methods, such as surveys, interviews, observations, or document analysis. They use appropriate statistical or qualitative analysis techniques to analyze the collected data and draw meaningful conclusions.

Ensuring validity and reliability: Evaluators strive to maintain the validity and reliability of the evaluation. They employ rigorous methods to ensure accurate and unbiased data collection, conduct systematic analysis, and use appropriate validation techniques to ensure the quality of the evaluation.

Reporting and communication: Evaluators prepare comprehensive reports or presentations to communicate the evaluation findings, conclusions, and recommendations. They present the information in a clear, accessible manner, tailored to different audiences, and ensure the confidentiality and privacy of data.
