When evaluating a program aimed at promoting new moms' well-being, here are five indicators that can be used:
1. Maternal mental health: Assess the impact of the program on maternal mental health by measuring indicators such as reduced symptoms of postpartum depression and anxiety, improved overall emotional well-being, and increased self-esteem.
2. Social support: Evaluate the program's effectiveness in enhancing social support networks for new moms. This can be measured by examining factors such as increased social connections, improved relationships with partners, family, and friends, and enhanced access to support groups or community resources.
3. Parent-child bonding: Gauge the program's impact on promoting positive parent-child bonding. This can be assessed by measuring indicators such as increased maternal-infant interaction, improved attachment behaviors, and enhanced parental sensitivity and responsiveness.
4. Physical health and recovery: Evaluate the program's influence on the physical health and recovery of new moms. This can be measured through indicators such as improved postpartum physical recovery, increased knowledge and adherence to healthy lifestyle practices, and enhanced access to healthcare services.
5. Self-care and coping skills: Assess the program's effectiveness in equipping new moms with self-care strategies and coping skills. This can be evaluated by measuring indicators such as improved self-care practices, enhanced stress management abilities, and increased confidence in handling the challenges of motherhood.
