Hi, friend! Following my prior post, when I searched for more information about the Central Eight, I further noticed two concepts: dynamic risk factors and criminogenic needs. I am not sure of their meanings in the juvenile crime context. Could anyone kindly offer me a hand?

Sure. In the scholars' suggestion for program evaluation, services for justice-involved youth should target dynamic (changeable) risk factors that are empirically linked to recidivism, often termed “criminogenic needs” (the need principle). Moreover, services should be provided using interventions and strategies proven effective (general responsivity), but individualized in their delivery related to factors such as gender, culture, motivation to change, and other factors (specific responsivity). Meanwhile, another note for these two terms is that prior work has demonstrated that intervention and services targeting criminogenic needs globally are more effective in reducing recidivism than targeting factors not generally predictive of offending/reoffending.

Hi, I realized that it seems the concept “outcome” is different from the term “output”. Taking the grandparent training project as an example, what is the “outcome’ referable?
