As far as I know, the social exclusion index is well established. Even though the exact items scholars use vary, the frameworks are similar. More specifically, scholars measure social exclusion from three perspectives including exclusion from economic life, exclusion from social services, and exclusion from civic life and social networks, to capture the multidimensional and dynamic nature of social exclusion.
