Hi there. I have finished a program evaluation of long-term patients in the hospital. You may also know, in general, health professionals are unaware of the distinctiveness of program evaluation as a discipline. Despite I hope to transfer the evaluation results into organizational learning, I found it very difficult. Do you have any suggestions for this situation?

You could consider sharing the results of completed evaluation projects, which widely is important, but often overlooked. Generally, formal reporting involves a written report for project funders and selected key stakeholders. Besides, you can try innovative data visualization and reporting practices, which are increasingly being employed. It is often useful to present summaries of the data within the body of the report, with a fuller analysis of results provided as appendices. This helps to shift the thinking from reporting descriptive research findings to considering how data are used in an evaluative sense to tell the “story” about the merit, worth, and significance of the program. In this way, it facilitates the possible wider dissemination of your evaluation results.
