Please trust the results of the program evaluation, instead of trusting your instincts. Based on the evaluation results I could find, low engagement has been consistently observed, both within research studies and public app deployments. A review of individual user data from over 100000 participants of health app studies, including depression, found that the average period of engagement was 5.5 days. Similarly, an examination of engagement with popular mental health apps from commercial marketplaces found that only 4% of users who downloaded a mental health app opened it again after 15 days.
