In my understanding, there are six broad types of criminal justice interventions:

1) Incapacitation refers to practices eliminating an offender’s ability to commit future crimes. This is most often achieved through incarceration in a correctional facility. 2) Deterrence refers to activities that discourage individuals from committing crimes. 3) Rehabilitation refers to interventions that change an offender’s thoughts, feelings, or behavior. Changing these areas of individual functioning can potentially reduce future criminal behavior. Rehabilitation includes treatment and counseling interventions and is most suited to social work education and training. 4) Community restraint refers to monitoring individuals. Monitoring can occur through supervision, physically wearing a monitor that tracks an individual’s location and surveillance methods. 5) Structure, discipline, and challenge refer to physical or mental activities that provide structure and discipline for individuals. These activities are intended to challenge a person in such a way that they change their attitudes toward criminal behavior. These interventions are designed to deter criminal behavior. 6) Combining rehabilitation and restraint represents a combination of interventions focused on individual functioning and community monitoring, such as parole supervision.

Hi, I realized that it seems the concept “outcome” is different from the term “output”. Taking the grandparent training project as an example, what is the “outcome’ referable?
