Hello Dr. MEL, I am confused by the ethical rules of evaluation designs. For example, if we separate older adults into a comparison group and an experiment group to see the influence of OAA, is it ethical to exclude older adults in the comparison group from the OAA scheme?

You may seek the consent of participants and make sure their participation is voluntary If you are going to conduct a comparison evaluation. Besides you also have to get an application for ethics approval from the agency review board. You may also try another method if it’s effective with lower risk.
