Hello. I am confused with some research results. According to the existing literature, volunteering and prosocial behaviors have been found highly associated among youth. So, does it mean that there is a causal inference? Can I say that volunteering would lead to prosocial behaviors?

There are some conditions on casual inferences except for an association relationship. For example, volunteering must happen before prosocial behavior, and there are no confounding factors.
