Hi, friend! If data visualizations are designed to draw attention, then is it necessary for social workers to pay more attention to it? It seems not exactly necessary for the current moment.

It is true that data visualizations, as a means of data sharing, are viewed as one approach to involve the public and show them the work being done by organizations. Hence, it also works as a requirement for NGOs to be more transparent about the data we collect, as demand for raw data increases. For example, the United Nations has supported this trend of data sharing by releasing large databases (http://data.un.org/) to help increase access and transparency, driven by their desire to be more open and accountable as well as the need to make sense of large amounts of information. In sum, transparency has become more urgent as funding has tightened and the need for accountability increased, and data visualization is a critical step of transparency.

Hi, I realized that it seems the concept “outcome” is different from the term “output”. Taking the grandparent training project as an example, what is the “outcome’ referable?
