To evaluate a program focused on the relationship between bullying and intellectual disability, consider the following five key points:

Prevalence assessment: Conduct a prevalence assessment to determine the extent and nature of bullying experienced by individuals with intellectual disabilities. Utilize surveys, questionnaires, or interviews to gather data on the frequency, types, and settings of bullying incidents. Compare the prevalence rates of bullying among individuals with intellectual disabilities to those without disabilities to identify any disparities.

Impact assessment: Assess the impact of bullying on individuals with intellectual disabilities. Utilize validated measures to evaluate the psychological, emotional, and social consequences of bullying. Assess outcomes such as self-esteem, mental health, social isolation, and academic performance. Compare the impact of bullying on individuals with intellectual disabilities to those without disabilities to determine if there are unique challenges and vulnerabilities associated with intellectual disability.

Risk and protective factors analysis: Analyze the risk and protective factors associated with bullying among individuals with intellectual disabilities. Identify factors such as cognitive abilities, communication skills, social competence, self-advocacy, and support systems that may influence the likelihood of experiencing bullying. Explore the role of school, community, and family environments in either exacerbating or mitigating the risk of bullying.

Intervention evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of the program in addressing bullying among individuals with intellectual disabilities. Assess if the program has led to a reduction in bullying incidents, improved awareness and reporting of bullying, and increased support for victims. Utilize pre- and post-program measurements to compare changes in bullying rates and participants' knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors related to bullying. Gather feedback from program participants to assess their satisfaction and perceived impact of the intervention.

Long-term outcomes: Assess the long-term outcomes of the program on individuals with intellectual disabilities. Evaluate if the program has had sustainable effects in reducing bullying and improving the overall well-being of individuals with intellectual disabilities. Consider long-term follow-up measurements to examine if the program has contributed to improved self-esteem, social integration, academic success, and mental health outcomes among individuals with intellectual disabilities.
