When evaluating the effectiveness of a program focused on long-term care for patients with dementia, consider the following five points:

Define program objectives: Clearly define the objectives of the program evaluation, specifying the desired outcomes related to long-term care for patients with dementia. Determine the specific aspects of long-term care (e.g., interventions, support services, environmental modifications) and outcomes (e.g., quality of life, behavioral symptoms, functional abilities) that you aim to measure.

Select appropriate measurement tools: Choose reliable and validated measurement tools to assess the effectiveness of long-term care for patients with dementia. Consider utilizing established scales and assessments, such as the Quality of Life-Alzheimer's Disease (QoL-AD) scale, Neuropsychiatric Inventory (NPI), or Functional Assessment Staging Test (FAST). These tools can provide quantitative data on patients' well-being, behavioral symptoms, and functional abilities.

Collect quantitative data.: Administer the selected measurement tools to patients with dementia before and after receiving long-term care to assess any changes in their outcomes. Collect data on patients' quality of life, behavioral symptoms, and functional abilities using the chosen assessments.

Collect qualitative data.: Incorporate qualitative methods to gain a deeper understanding of patients' experiences and perceptions of long-term dementia care. Conduct interviews, focus groups, or open-ended survey questions to explore patients' perspectives, their caregivers' experiences, and their satisfaction with the care provided.

Analyze and interpret data.: Analyze the quantitative and qualitative data collected to evaluate the effectiveness of long-term care for patients with dementia. Examine the changes in quantitative measures and consider the qualitative data to gain a comprehensive understanding of the program's impact.

Hi, I realized that it seems the concept “outcome” is different from the term “output”. Taking the grandparent training project as an example, what is the “outcome’ referable?
