Persons with disabilities in developing countries face several barriers, like poor access to education for children with disabilities and lack of access to training, employment and health or rehabilitation services, including supportive devices. In the development of roads and public transport systems, the needs of persons with disabilities often are not accounted for. Persons with disabilities further have a disadvantaged position in terms of access to information and communication.
