Here are five points that can serve as indicators for investigating the effectiveness of adolescents' criminal rehabilitation programs:

Reduction in offense severity: This indicator focuses on the nature and severity of offenses committed by participants before and after undergoing the rehabilitation program. It examines whether the program contributes to a reduction in the severity of criminal behavior, such as a decrease in violent offenses or a shift towards less serious offenses.

Substance abuse and addiction: Assessing the impact of the program on substance abuse and addiction is crucial, as these factors often contribute to criminal behavior. Indicators can include reduced substance use, successful completion of addiction treatment programs, and improved coping mechanisms to avoid relapse.

Family and social support: The program's effectiveness can be measured by evaluating the participants' family and social support systems. This can include assessing the quality of family relationships, involvement in community support networks, and access to positive role models. A successful rehabilitation program should strengthen family connections and provide a supportive social environment.

Cognitive and life skills development: This indicator focuses on the acquisition of cognitive and life skills necessary for successful reintegration. It includes assessing improvements in decision-making abilities, problem-solving skills, conflict resolution, and anger management. Measuring these skills can provide insights into the program's effectiveness in promoting positive behavioral changes.

Cost-effectiveness: Evaluating the cost-effectiveness of the rehabilitation program is important to determine its overall value. This indicator includes analyzing the program's financial costs about the achieved outcomes, such as reduced criminal justice system involvement or increased economic productivity. A cost-effective program maximizes positive outcomes while utilizing resources efficiently.
