Ideally, each of us would be planning for our old age and likely need for LTSS at some time in our lives. Americans are not even saving for their own retirement and, if there are savings, it is likely to be needed in case of a long-term illness or disability. Understanding the risk of requiring LTSS and the care options is an important step in planning for the future.
