It is quite challenging to get speedy results in offenders’ services since the rehabilitation and reintegration process takes time. However, the funders usually expect to see the immediate outcome to ensure that their money does not go to waste. Is there a way to solve this problem?

Recently, we are conducting a client satisfaction survey of a drug abusers’ program. We got a very high rate of satisfaction in the results. Does it mean our program is successful and effective?

I hope to know if there is a better way to measure our programs’ social influence on drug abusers, except using the cost and benefit analysis? As you know, all the costs and benefits are measured in monetary terms, yet there is something that can hardly be measured by monetary terms, such as improvement in family relations when the drug abuser abandons his ill practices.
