Yes, you can. But please be careful about the correlation methods you use based on the types of variables. Pearson’s Correlation coefficient (r) describes the linear relationship between two normally distributed and quantitative variables (in bivariate correlation). However, in program evaluation, the independent variable is often a categorical variable indicating whether individuals have received a program. Then Spearman Correlation is more suitable than Pearson’s Correlation.
