Resilience refers to the multidimensional, dynamic process of positive adaptation to adversity. It is the ability to ‘bounce back’ from adversity and change and involves internal and external adjustments to risks such as poverty, parental mental illness, maltreatment, discrimination and trauma.

It is conceivable that individuals who have been incarcerated and now reside in the community may encounter social exclusion. I am determined to take action to address this issue.
