Hello. A colleague and I discussed the possible reason for youth delinquency. And he mentioned it resulted from the proliferation of Women in the labor force. I felt so angry about his explanation! Is anyone could help me to “fight back”?

Following your previous suggestions, I have tried to read more about articles using meta-analytic techniques. And I found that the seminal meta-analysis of the correctional treatment literature indicated that offenders who participated in therapeutic activities had an approximate 10% lower rate of recidivism compared with those offenders who did not participate in treatment. That is very impressive!!! However, I am still very confused about how to apply it to our program design and evaluation…

Hey, I have read more about how to change criminal attitudes. However, I wonder if there is any empirical evidence supporting it, instead of merely a theoretical hypothesis?

Then how about the theory of “Techniques of Neutralization”? It is another theory I found very interesting to discuss individuals’ attitudes toward criminal acts.
