Session 13&14 — Successful Close of Training & Beginning of Mentored Practicum

Over the past 14 training sessions of the Jockey Club Institute Project, participants learned about service development and monitoring, resource and planning management, service media and communications, and programme evaluation and impact assessment from overseas and local experts. There were lectures, step by step tutorials, and interactive in-class activities that encouraged participants to develop a holistic view of programme monitoring, evaluation, and learning.

In the last training session, we are delighted to have Prof. Minseop Kim from CUHK Social Work Department share with us his rich knowledge on programme evaluation and data analysis methods. MEL participants also shared valuable insights in their presentations about programme evaluation from experiences at their own organisations.

The end of the 14-session training course marks the beginning of the much-anticipated mentored practicum. Participants got to meet and greet with their mentors in groups after the training session, which facilitated the coming mentored practicum meetings and the direction of the projects. It is such an excitement to see the development of different projects from these teams!
