This period counts from the date of eligibility for OALA. For example, if the recipient is eligible for OALA under the GD Scheme on 10 February 2020, the 12-month "grace period" will be from 10 February 2020 to 9 February 2021 inclusive.

Could you perhaps assist me in getting some information about the community service orders (CSO) program verified? According to what I’ve heard, a court may issue a CSO order requiring a person who has reached the age of 14 or older and has been found guilty of a crime carrying a sentence of imprisonment to perform unpaid work for a number of hours up to 240 hours per month while being supervised by a probation officer. Can I refer to those as CSO scheme activities?
