I found it difficult to collaborate with team members using emails. Since we must work on the same documents, there are a lot of track changes and versions. It is difficult to be on the same page sometimes. Does anyone have other ways to work with colleagues?

I think you can try Google drive. I have been using it for school and work and found it very useful. It can show me what others are working on and I can insert comments on their parts without directly editing on their work. More importantly, it does not have to be a chain of emails for communication anymore!
