Social workers frequently provide services to older populations, and as a result, social workers may regularly encounter individuals coping with diabetes. Social workers in health care settings, hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living communities, home health care agencies, and senior centers are most likely to work on a regular basis with older adults with diabetes.
